Dance Therapy

The instructions are simple: be in the moment with the vibrations, as they happen. But when you commit to that simple instruction, the effects are deeply therapeutic.

For one hour a week Zoetic holds a meditative dance party. What is that? In nature when animals have an excess amount of energy that is not needed, they shake in an intentional way to release it. Zoetic Dance is kind of like shaking, but to a beat.Shaking dancing science fact).

Every week Zoetic creates a widely varied playlist intended to fling open the door to your subconscious, so that whatever is inside you that is not serving your highest wishes for yourself anymore, can be released.

Afterwards you are a bit worn out, a bit sweaty maybe (maybe not) but you are free, of any pent up frustrations, of any petty grievances, free of anything that is not you.

When you meet the moment as it happens with the accompaniment of music, anything that is not you simply can’t keep up. Guided and inspired to complete immersion within the safe space the idea is to dance your way out of this construct of Self, so that you can really see what remains when all the labels that have been laid on you and that you lay on yourself, fall away.

When all the energy that drains you, anger, jealousy, frustration, small minded has been drained Out of you…. A true reset is possible, down to your very foundation.

To participate in this immersive group experience you must simply show up, after that it really is up to you how you would like to experience the vibrations of the music. If dancing isn’t available to you we have yoga mats for stretching, comfy chairs for sitting, bean bags and couches, that you may utilize at any time.

There are only three rules. 1. Keep to your own space (literally and figuratively) 2. no talking once the dance has begun, 3. eyes are cast downward, so that everyone may turn inward with open eyes without invading any one else’s space and time.

people that would Never dance in public find they can here. When you can rest in awareness in trust that you are safe, surrounded by unconditional friendliness, even the most staunch non dancer has been known to shuffle happily.
